CAP (Canonical Attribution Pattern) is a service provided by Signetra. This Privacy Policy describes how Signetra collects, uses, and handles your information when you use CAP.
Account Information
When you register, we collect your email address and any profile information you provide.
Submitted Content
Digital Items you upload are processed within our Private Evaluation Environment. Internal evaluative data is stored in the Private Evaluative State and is not publicly accessible.
Public Attribution Artifacts
A Limited Data Subset derived from your submission is used to generate your Public Attribution Artifact, which is publicly accessible.
Usage Data
We may collect standard usage data such as access times, pages viewed, and browser type for operational purposes.
We use collected information to operate and maintain the CAP service, generate and display Public Attribution Artifacts, communicate with you about your account, improve system performance using anonymized or aggregated data, and comply with legal obligations.
Public Attribution Artifacts are publicly accessible by design. This includes your attributed association and any metadata you provide at the time of submission. Do not submit content you do not wish to be publicly associated with.
Public Attribution Artifacts may be indexed, copied, or referenced by third-party systems beyond CAP's control.
All data within the Private Evaluative State is internal to CAP and is not shared publicly. This data may be retained indefinitely for system integrity, security, and operational purposes, and is not removed upon account termination or artifact takedown.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with third parties except as necessary to operate the service, including infrastructure providers, analytics tools, and security services, or as required by law, court order, or valid legal process.
We retain account information for as long as your account is active. Public Attribution Artifacts may persist after account termination. Internal evaluative data is retained indefinitely. You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us. Retention of internal evaluative data is necessary for maintaining system integrity and preventing abuse.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No system is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
CAP is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted information to CAP, contact us at legal@signetra.net.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your personal data including access, correction, or deletion of account information. To exercise these rights, contact us at legal@signetra.net. Note that internal evaluative data is exempt from deletion requests as described in Section 5.
CAP may use cookies or similar technologies for authentication and session management. We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking.
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Michigan.
We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Continued use of CAP after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
For privacy-related questions or requests, contact us at legal@signetra.net.
You are solely responsible for any Digital Items you submit and any associations you create through CAP. You acknowledge that CAP does not verify ownership, authorship, or rights, does not validate the accuracy of any association, and that any public attribution is based solely on your assertion.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CAP and Signetra from any claims, damages, or disputes arising from your submitted content or asserted associations.
Due to the architectural design of CAP, certain data generated during processing may be retained indefinitely within the Private Evaluative State. This data is not publicly accessible, is not subject to deletion upon request, and may not be reversible or removable.
By using CAP, you acknowledge and accept this limitation.
CAP relies on third-party infrastructure providers for hosting, storage, and system operations. While we take reasonable measures to select reputable providers, CAP is not responsible for security breaches originating from third-party systems, service interruptions, or data loss caused by external providers.
CAP may be accessed from jurisdictions outside the United States. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of CAP complies with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction. CAP makes no representation that its services are appropriate or compliant with laws outside the State of Michigan or the United States.
CAP is designed to create and maintain records of association, but does not guarantee protection against unauthorized use of Digital Items, recognition by third-party platforms or systems, complete privacy beyond system design, or prevention of data extraction or misuse by external actors. Use of CAP is at your own risk.
Internal evaluative data is not accessible, exportable, or subject to deletion requests due to its role in maintaining system integrity and security.
You acknowledge that any information included in Public Attribution Artifacts is not confidential and may be publicly accessible without restriction.
CAP does not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted, or error-free operation. Access to the service may be suspended or limited at any time.
